A Book Exploring Lithographs with Marbling and Hand Applied Detail
Growth and Decay explore the natural cycle of life in the garden. These two lithographs were created on stone and hand detailed with watercolor, water marbling, and gold leaf. This project was an opportunity to attempt a repeatable masking method for water marbling and to explore how multiple print processes interact. Many were printed on handmade Japanese paper created by the artist. Each print is a unique iteration of the original two drawings. Two of these works, Seaside Bloom & Season's End, were exhibited at the 311 Gallery in Raleigh, North Carolina in the Fall of 2017.
