Carrier plays with my take on the dissemination of ideas and how they take on a life beyond our control. This acrylic painting is completed between multiple layers of resin to add a sense of depth. Artistic practices that produce random results like water marbling and pour painting are paired with structured, predictable techniques like lithography or sculpture. In this way my work is a study in balance - a practice in learning to merge the frivolous and the methodical.
